POLICE CHIEF JAILED FOR SEX CRIMES

Goran Lindberg was convicted of more than a dozen sex offences, including buying sexual favours.

The 64-year-old former police commissioner denied all charges apart from a few cases of buying sex.

Lindberg was police chief in Uppsala from 1997 to 2006 and also headed Sweden's national police academy.

Lindberg is known in Sweden for his lectures on gender equality and sexual harassment.
